75th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvements Begin Week of May 1

Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, DuPage County-led work to improve the intersection of 75th Street and Book Road is scheduled to begin the week of May 1, 2017. Throughout construction, daily lane closures on both 75th Street and Book Road at the intersection will be necessary.

This project will include extending the existing left turn lanes on 75th Street, adding a southbound right turn lane on Book Road and modernizing the traffic signal to provide a left turn on arrow only for 75th Street. In addition, the configuration of the sidewalk and bike path located in the vicinity of the intersection will be improved.

Motorists traveling in this area are encouraged to allow extra time to get to their destination and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Work is expected to be complete in mid-July 2017.
