Investigation into Suspicious Vehicle Results in Felony Arrests
Naperville Police Investigate Suspicious Incident at River Road and Rickert Road
On May 4, 2017 at approximately 7:23AM officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a business in the area of River and Rickert Road. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle it took evasive maneuvers through the business parking lots in an effort to flee. Officers did not pursue the vehicle. Shortly thereafter officers saw a similar vehicle had driven through a fence and into a back yard near River and Rickert. Two subjects fled on foot from the vehicle. Officers provided a description of the subjects over the radio and a perimeter was established in the area to contain the subjects. Residents in the area were notified via the Naper Notify system of our activities in the area. One subject was apprehended a few blocks away, on foot, within a few minutes of fleeing from the vehicle. An extensive search involving a K9 officer was conducted in an effort to locate the second subject. At approximately 0918AM officers observed a subject matching the description of the second subject in the area of 1200 Rickert. He entered into a building in that area and was apprehended by officers inside without incident.
Further investigation revealed the car to be stolen from a victim in Woodridge. Charges were obtained against two subjects as a result of our investigation.

Densmore, Jahamari P. M/B 19, of Woodridge, IL Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Reckless Driving and ten separate traffic offenses.
This investigation was initiated by a citizen calling us about a suspicious occupied vehicle. We encourage you to call when you see suspicious persons, vehicles and/or activity. In this case our caller’s suspicions were accurate resulting in the arrest of two subjects for felony charges.
The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
