"Training Servers to Serve Responsibly"
All licensees’ agents and employees, who dispense, sell, deliver or serve alcoholic liquor in a Naperville licensed establishment, shall be enrolled in our program within 30 days of date of hire and beginning January 2011 shall complete certification no later than 60 days after date of hire.
- BASSET Training is held every month with the exception of July (no training held)
- Classes are restricted to 50 attendees per class
- Pre-registration and $30 payment is due at the City Clerk’s Office, 400 S. Eagle Street, Naperville, IL 60540, prior to being placed onto a class roster (Cash, Visa, MasterCard or personal checks are accepted in person or by mail only – no reservations will be taken over the phone or without payment)
- Class sign in begins at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers of the Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street, Naperville, IL 60540
- Class will run from 5:45 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. (the State of Illinois mandates training of four hours)
You may call Lynn Zilinsky in the City Clerk’s Office to check class availability at (630) 305-5226. If you register by mail you will be placed into the first available class and receive a letter confirming the date of class to attend.
The City of Naperville BASSET Training course and Instructor Detective Mark English are State Certified. Naperville’s training is accepted State wide and is accepted by some surrounding States. Currently the BASSET certification does not expire.
