Mendez Foundation LogoToo Good For Drugs, a Mendez Foundation Program based in Tampa, Florida, is identified as a "model program" by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration) and is guided by strong prevention theory, focused on known predictors, field tested in diverse settings, easy to integrate in existing classrooms, very interactive and responsive to teachers' needs and contains a pre- and post-evaluation tool.

Too Good For Drugs (TGFD) is designed to equip 5th grade students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to remain drug free. TGFD promotes positive life skills and pro-social skill development featuring goal setting, decision-making, coping, communication and peer refusal skills. The program incorporates parental involvement, which promotes discussion between children and parents, and reinforces concepts and skills learned in TGFD through homework assignments.
