City of Naperville Announces New Director of Information Technology

NAPERVILLE, Ill.— The City of Naperville is pleased to announce that Jeff Anderson, who currently serves as the Business Development Manager of Magenium Solutions in Glen Ellyn, has been named as Naperville’s next Director of Information Technology. Anderson was selected from a pool of highly qualified candidates following a rigorous interview process.

“Jeff Anderson has a wealth of experience in the private sector, which I know will serve the City well,” City Manager Doug Krieger said. “During his time in a variety of IT roles in the greater Chicago area, Jeff oversaw several key technology deployments that transformed how those organizations conducted business. His experience in strategic planning and cost control and his commitment to being a team player will help us move forward as an organization. I welcome Jeff to Naperville and look forward to working with him.”

Prior to his time at Magenium Solutions, Anderson served as Director of Information Technology Operations at Project Leadership Associates and Director of Applications and Information Technology at West Monroe Partners, both in Chicago. Anderson holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from Iowa State University.

“I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity to serve the city in which my wife and I are raising our children,” Anderson said. “The City of Naperville is well-regarded as a progressive, customer-focused government organization. I have a passion for technology as a driver for fiscally-responsible innovation, and I look forward to translating that passion into results for the City and its residents.”

Anderson’s first day with the City will be Monday, March 28.
