Estimated Electric Utility Billing

Beginning May 1, 2010, the City of Naperville will begin estimating some residential and commercial utility bills every other month.

Once this begins, you may notice an increase or decrease in usage one month and a subsequent increase or decrease the following month when an actual read is obtained. This is due to the actual meter reading helping to adjust for an over or underestimation of electrical consumption during the estimate month.

Residents and commercial buildings also have the ability to call in monthly electrical consumption. Calling in of a read must be done in conjunction with the read date found on your utility bill.
