Brush Collection
In May the city provides free curbside bulk brush collection for branches and tree trimmings. From April 1 through mid-December, residents may also dispose of bundled brush each week through the City's yard waste program.
 
Charitable Donations
Various non-profit agencies offer curbside charitable donation collection.
 
Electronics Recycling
Although electronics are not considered hazardous waste and can be placed at the curb with normal refuse, this is not the best disposal method.
 
Garbage Collection - Residential
Naperville offers curbside collection of garbage to all single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes and apartments with up to four units.
 
Garbage Collection Carts
Naperville residents, who currently receive curbside garbage collection from BFI, can purchase a standardized residential wheeled garbage cart.
 
Holiday Tree Recycling
The City of Naperville offers a Holiday Tree Recycling program each January.
 
Household Hazardous Waste
The city’s household hazardous drop off facility is open Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding holidays.
 
Leaf Collection
The City of Naperville offers a variety of leaf disposal options to meet the unique needs of residents.
 
Recycling - Curbside
Naperville began its curbside recycling program in 1986, making it the first community in Illinois to offer this service to its residents. The city provides a recycling bin for every single-family home in the city.
 
Recycling Drop-off Center
Residents who do not receive curbside collection may take materials to the city’s drop-off center, located at 1600 W. Jefferson Ave.
 
Residential Refuse Fee
Beginning May 1, 2010, residents will pay a $2 monthly residential refuse fee that will appear on a monthly utility bill as a flat monthly rate.
 
Scavenger Services
Beginning January 1, 2006, refuse collection firms must obtain a City of Naperville Commercial Scavenger License to collect or dispose of any commercial waste, refuse or recycling materials. 
 
Yard Waste Collection
From mid March through the second full week of December, grass, weeds, twigs and leaves should be bagged in 33-gallon paper yard waste bags and placed curbside for weekly collection.
