2016 Citizen Survey Now Available Online

Public Invited to Share their Thoughts on Satisfaction with City Services

The City of Naperville is conducting a citywide Citizen Survey to solicit feedback from residents on a variety of City services such as public works, transportation, public safety, utility services and public information practices.

The purpose of the 2016 Citizen Survey is to assess public satisfaction with the quality of City services, gather input about the community’s priorities and help the City better understand how satisfaction levels have changed over time. In addition, the survey will help measure the City’s performance in fulfilling its recently adopted ends policies of high performing government, public safety, economic development and financial stability.

Earlier this month, a mailed paper copy of the survey was distributed to a random sampling of 1,200 households throughout the community. The City is also making the survey available electronically to all residents who wish to provide their input. To participate, visit

“Our citizens are the perfect source from which we can learn how to improve the quality of life and the quality of City services here in Naperville,” Mayor Steve Chirico said. “Please take the time to respond. Your input is important to us and will continue to help us move forward with our goal of making Naperville an even better city to live, work and raise a family for generations to come.”

The last Citizen Survey was conducted in 2012. Results from that survey helped the City make several changes to a variety of services residents identified as high priority, including completion of the Route 59 Expansion Project, implementation of the City’s recycling cart program, a redesign of the City’s website and an increased social media presence by the Police Department.
