Police Investigate Shooting

On November 24, 2016 at approximately 1:57 a.m., the Naperville Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Fairway Drive for the report of shots fired. While en route responding units were notified of a subject shot in the area.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and four of his friends were involved in a verbal dispute with a subject who was driving through the parking lot. During the dispute the suspect, who witnesses reported to be a male hispanic believed to be in his 20’s, fired multiple shots. After the shots were fired the suspect fled the area in a white SUV.

The victim was transported to Edward Hospital by the Naperville Fire Department for treatment of his injuries, which at this time are believed to be non-life threatening.
