Naperville Police Department Media Release

At approximately 7:38 pm on April 26, 2016 Naperville police officers responded to the 1500 Block of Fairway for a report of a despondent Naperville resident identified as a male in his 30’s. It was further learned that the subject had a handgun in his possession and was walking in the area. After an extensive search by multiple police officers, the subject and weapon were located. The subject was taken into protective custody without incident. He was then transported to the local hospital for treatment.

At this time, there are no criminal charges. No injuries were incurred by first responders nor the subject.
