Naperville Police Offering Cyber-Smart Parent Webinar on May 24

Free webinar teaches parents how to keep kids safe on their devices and gaming systems

Parents of children of all ages, as well as all junior high and high school aged kids, are invited to join a free webinar on Tuesday, May 24 to learn new information about what kids are doing online and how to keep them safe.

Internet safety expert Detective Rich Wistocki of the Naperville Police Department will present the two-hour webinar, which is being offered in partnership with the Naperville Exchange Club, School Districts 203 and 204 and the DuPage Child Abuse Coalition.

The webinar is free of charge and will take place on Tuesday, May 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. Advance registration is required.

Our evolving world of technology demands that parents educate themselves and their children on the potential dangers of the internet, social media and online gaming. This webinar will allow parents to learn from the comfort of their own homes about such topics as texting, sexting and cyberbullying and to ask questions of Detective Wistocki, a nationally sought-after speaker on the topic of internet safety.
