Student Winners Honored at Naperville Sister Cities 2016 Young Artists Showcase and Gallery Exhibition

2016 Sister Cities Artist Showcase Winner NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Naperville North High School student Jennifer Shao has been selected as the 2016 winner of Naperville’s Sister Cities Young Artists showcase. Shao and six other Naperville students, including finalist Alex Guerra (NCHS); and honorable mention awardees, Leanne Wang (NNHS), Bridgett Halliday (NCHS), Rachel Shen (NNHS), Yvonne Wu (Neuqua Valley) and Cecilia Lei (Washington Junior High); were honored at the Sister Cities 2016 Young Artists Showcase and Gallery Exhibition on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Naperville Art League – Fine Art Center and Gallery. Shao was awarded a cash prize of $875 and will have her art work submitted to Sister Cities International in Washington, D.C. for national, and potentially international, recognition. Guerra was awarded $625. A total of 39 students submitted entries.
