The City of Naperville requires that plumber's register with the City Clerk's Office.
In compliance with new state laws that have passed the Illinois General Assembly this spring, as of January 1, 2012, the City of Naperville no longer requires plumbing contractors to pay a $25 yearly registration fee. While House Bill 1228 (P.A. 97-0365) closed a loophole giving the Illinois Department of Public Health sole authority to register, insure and bond plumbing contractors through the state, the City of Naperville requires some documentation to verify registration, protect contractors from identity theft and ensure continued safety on all Naperville job sites.
If you are not currently registered with the City of Naperville, all plumbing contractors will need to provide the following to the City Clerk’s office on an annual basis after January 1, 2012:
If you are currently registered with the City, you will not need to provide another copy of your contractor’s registration with the application until June 30, 2012.
Documents may be faxed to (630) 305-4466, dropped off in person or mailed to the City Clerk: City of Naperville, City Clerk’s Office, Attn: Nancy Leary, 400 S. Eagle St., Naperville, IL 60540.
Or simply fill out the application online, save the attachment, and email to learyn@naperville.il.us.
