2012 New Sidewalk Program
Each year the City of Naperville performs a sidewalk construction project that places sidewalk where none previously existed.

First Aid, CPR, AED Certification
The Naperville Fire Department offers CPR/AED certification classes to laypersons and healthcare providers. Recertification classes are also available.

As part of the Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, the city is performing residential home energy evaluations for 350 qualified homes in Naperville. 
 
Naperville Smart Grid Initiative
The Smart Grid Initiative will provide complete automation of the city’s electric grid providing automatic, computerized meter readings and, thus, enhancing system efficiency and reliability, streamlining customer billing and increasing billing accuracy.
 
Recycling - Curbside
Naperville began its curbside recycling program in 1986, making it the first community in Illinois to offer this service to its residents.
