Ribfest 2010

Presented by the Exchange Club of Naperville, in cooperation with the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District, Ribfest will be held July 1-4, 2010 in Knoch Park in Naperville. The Park will be open daily from Noon to 10 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Admission:

  • Tickets to Ribfest are general admission to be used July 1-4, 2010.
  • Ribfest Tickets are sold on the basis of being used on any of the event days. Please understand when purchasing a ticket that they do not guarantee park entry on a specific day and the park may close due to reaching capacity or for any other public safety reason.
  • A no re-entry policy after 7 p.m. will be in place.
  • For information about purchasing Ribfest tickets,click here.

Park Capacity:

  • The gates of Ribfest may close at any time due to crowd density or public safety. This decision will be made by the City of Naperville Police Department in partnership with Ribfest leadership.
  • The decision to close for public safety is based on the ability of people to get out of the park in case of emergency.

NEW for Ribfest 2010!

Several improvements and enhancements are coming to Ribfest in 2010, including:

  • Expanded park layout with two main stages! To view the layout, click here.
  • New shuttle bus service from Cowlishaw School for the duration of the event.
  • New shuttle bus service on the Fourth of July from the Route 59 Metra Station and the 95th Street Park-n-Ride.
  • Relocated motorcycle parking at the Naperville Garden Plots


Admission

Admission is $12 for adults.Children 11 and under will be admitted free.

Tickets can be purchased for $9 prior to the event at the following area Jewel stores:

  • 320 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville

Tickets can also be purchased for $9 prior to the event at the following Naperville Park District locations:

  • Administration Building, 320 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville
  • South Maintenance Facility, Book Rd and Conan Doyle in Frontier Park, Naperville

Pepsi $1 off cans are not redeemable at these locations. These cans are only redeemable at the gates of the event.


Remote Parking and Shuttle Locations

SHUTTLE SERVICE ON ALL DAYS OF RIBFEST
Free public shuttles serving Ribfest run to and from several remote parking locations throughout Naperville. Shuttles run continuously on all days from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Shuttle service to and from Ribfest is now available from Cowlishaw Elementary School, located at 1212 Sanctuary Lane, Naperville.

Shuttle Service to Ribfest is available on all days of the event from the following remote parking locations include the following:

PLEASE NOTE: Shuttle service from the Burlington Commuter Lot will begin at 6 p.m. on July 1-2. Shuttle service from Naperville North High School will begin at 2 p.m. on July 1 only.

SHUTTLE SERVICE ON JULY 4th ONLY
Shuttles on the Fourth of July will run from4 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.

NewNEW FOURTH OF JULY SHUTTLE LOCATIONS ADDED FOR 2010!
Shuttle service on the Fourth of July is now available from the Naperville (north) parking lot at the Route 59 Metra Station, located off North Aurora Road just west of Route 59, and the 95th Street Park-n-Ride, located at 95th Street and Wolfs Crossing Road.

Accessible Parking, Drop Off and Entrances

The primary parking for vehicles with a disabled person parking placard is located at All Saints Academy on the north side of Aurora between River Road and West Street.Shuttle buses will be available from this location and will drop guests off near the entrance to Ribfest at the corner of West Street and Martin Avenue.

Limited accessible parking is also available at the Municipal Center parking deck. There is no shuttle service from these accessible parking locations to the Ribfest grounds.

Accessible parking is available in all of the parking lots and parking decks throughout Downtown Naperville as well as on some of the streets.

Accessible Drop-Off Area
Vehicles with a disabled person parking placard may drop-off persons with disabilities and their companions at the drop-off area located on the East side of West street, at the northeast corner of West Street and Martin Avenue. This drop-off location will be available on all days of the event except July 4th.

Accessible Entrances
Persons with disabilities and their families may enter at any of the park's main gate entrances.

Accessible Seating Areas
Two accessible seating areas are available at ribfest. To view the accessible seating locations, please download the following event map:

On-Site Assistance
Identify anyone with a radio/or a red Ribfest shirt to inquire about assistance to the accessible seating at the stage areas.

Accessible restrooms are available throughout the park.

Motorcycle Parking

NEW MOTORCYCLE PARKING LOCATION FOR 2010! New
Motorcycle parking for Ribfest 2010 is located on the west side of West Street in the gravel lot north of the Naperville Park District's Garden Plots.

PLEASE NOTE: NO entrance or exit will be permitted from the motorcycle parking lot between 7:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.on July 4, 2010 ONLY due to the fireworks set-up and display.


Fireworks

Free Public Access Entry Time Will Be 7:30 p.m.
One of the largest most magnificent displays in the Chicagoland area, it runs for almost 30 minutes straight and is sure to wow the most fervent fireworks aficionados.

Naperville's Independence Day fireworks extravaganza will take place in Knoch Park on Sunday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. Residents can also tune into 95.9 FM The River to hear a musical simulcast during the fireworks show.

Please remember, the park may close at or around the free entry period due to capacity. Come early!


Street Closures and Parking Restrictions

There will be several street closures and parking restrictions in effect for the duration of the event, as well additional closures and restrictions on July 4. The details regarding dates, times and locations can be found on the following traffic control maps:


Municipal Services

The Naperville Municipal Center will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be altered due to the Fourth of July holiday. Collection will be delayed by one day from the normal schedule.
