About the Riverwalk Foundation
The Naperville Riverwalk Foundation was established in 1997 to serve as a vehicle for obtaining financial support for maintenance, enhancements, special projects, etc., to supplement the ongoing annual commitments of the City of Naperville and the Naperville Park District.
The Riverwalk Foundation is managed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of one member of the Naperville City Council, one member of the Naperville Park District and one member of the Riverwalk Commission. The board is to oversee the receipt and distribution of donated funds and other resources that shall be used for educational programs and projects that enhance the entire Riverwalk along the DuPage River east of the Jefferson Street Bridge to Hillside Road.
