At 6:41 PM on September 13, 2017, Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a 911 call for the report of a fire in a single family home. A general alarm was dispatched for the reported structure fire. The General Alarm assignment brought 12 pieces of fire apparatus and 27 firefighters to the scene. Occupants of the residence were alerted by the smoke detector and safely exited the structure.

The first fire suppression unit arrived on the scene at 6:45 PM and reported fire showing from the rear bedroom of the single-family residence. Fire attack was initiated by the first-arriving engine, medic, and truck companies and a water source was secured. The fire was found to be burning in the back bedroom, which was quickly extinguished.
