Naperville Police Arrest Nail Salon Robber

The Naperville Police Department has arrested Rio Franklin, 25, of Naperville, for the Saturday, March 25, 2017, Armed Robbery of the U.S. Nail Salon in the 900 block of east Ogden Ave. During the robbery the offender displayed a semi-automatic handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of currency along with a victim’s vehicle, a 2004 Black Volvo SUV.

Franklin has been charged with

  • Armed Robbery, a Class X Felony
  • Possession Stolen Motor Vehicle, a Class 2 Felony
  • Aggravated Unlawful Restraint, four counts each a Class 3 Felony.

Naperville Police continue to investigate Franklin for any possible connection to other Naperville area crimes.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
