Naperville Police Respond to Fatal Traffic Crash

On Friday, June 29, 2018 at approximately 10:42 p.m., the Naperville Police and Fire Departments responded to Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive for a vehicle crash involving a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Honda Civic. The initial investigation indicates that the Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound Aurora Avenue approaching Fort Hill Drive when the Honda Civic, which was eastbound Aurora Avenue, turned in front of the motorcycle.

The driver and passenger of the Kawasaki were pronounced dead at the scene. Due to the nature of the incident, members of the Naperville Traffic Unit trained in accident investigation and reconstruction responded to the scene to investigate the crash. During the course of the initial investigation, the intersection of Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive was closed and rerouted until approximately 4:12 a.m.
