Naperville Police Department Investigate Shooting Incident

(5/20/2019 - A suspect in this incident is in custody. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. )

On Sunday May 19, 2019, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Naperville Police officers were called to Edward Hospital for a report of two adult males who had suffered gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, the officers learned that both victims had previously agreed to meet an unknown person in the 1200 block of South Rt. 59. During this encounter, the unknown male offender discharged a firearm striking both victims Both victims remain hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

After a preliminary investigation, it was determined this act was not random. This case remains under investigation.
