Regional Situation Update
A peaceful protest was held this afternoon, beginning in Downtown Naperville and ending at Naperville’s Public Safety Campus. We would like to thank all the participants for being respectful while making their voices heard. We support peaceful protests such as these, as they are a great example of how our community can come together during troubling times.
We will continue to maintain an increased presence throughout town in response to unconfirmed rumors of possible criminal activity throughout the western suburbs. Residents are encouraged to continue to avoid the downtown area and to report any suspicious or criminal activity to 9-1-1.
Any necessary updates throughout the evening will be provided by the City of Naperville and the Naperville Police Department on our official social media channels, our website and/or Naper Notify.
