Naperville Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Crash on 77th Street

On May 17, 2024, at 6:43 p.m., the Naperville Police and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the 1600 block of 77th Street for a traffic crash with injuries. The traffic crash involved a black motorcycle and a white sports utility vehicle. Despite a good Samaritan’s lifesaving efforts, the driver of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old man out of Naperville, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the sports utility vehicle was identified as a 69-year-old female out of Naperville. She was uninjured in the crash.

Due to the nature of the crash, traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene. The roadway was closed until 11:30 p.m.
