Police Investigate Shooting on Watkins Lane

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the approximate time of 5:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Watkins Lane for the report of a gunshot. The caller related that three individuals were involved in an argument in the parking lot.  During the argument, a gunshot was heard, and the three subjects fled on foot.  Police arrived on scene and located evidence that a person had been shot.  It was later discovered that a victim, a male subject out of Bolingbrook, suffered a gunshot wound, and transported himself to a local hospital for treatment.  His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.  

The preliminary investigation led police to believe this was an isolated incident and not a random act.  There is no threat to the community.
