Illinois Home Weatherization Program

The Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) is designed to help low-income residents save fuel and money while increasing the comfort of their homes. Its mission is to insulate the dwellings of low-income persons, particularly the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with children, high residential energy users and households with a high energy burden, in order to conserve needed energy and to aid those persons least able to afford higher utility costs. Applications are taken at the township offices.

Single-Family Home Repair Grant Program

The City of Naperville has contracted with Rebuilding Together Aurora to provide no-cost, home safety and accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners. The Single-Family Home Repair Grant Program is open to households located within the municipal boundaries of the City of Naperville. Income must fall within or below 80% of HUD low-income standards and the homeowner must not be able to do necessary repairs/modifications due to cost or physical constraints.
