Plumbing Permit

Permitting, Plans and Licensing Portal Now Available

Residential customers are now able to apply for this permit through the City’s new Permitting, Plans and Licensing Portal. The new portal gathers all of the information needed to apply, pay for, and manage permits in one convenient place. It is designed for use on a desktop/laptop computer. Non-residential customers should continue to follow the electronic submittal process outlined on the Building Permits page.

All plumbing contractors – regardless of whether you have registered with the City of Naperville in the past – will be required to provide the following documents along with any building permit applications where plumbing work is being performed:

  • Copy of State Contractor’s Registration
  • Letter of Intent (click to view sample)

These items are required to verify credentials, protect contractors from identity theft and ensure continued safety on all Naperville job sites.

Applications without completed documentation will not be considered.
