91st Street Improvement Project
The 91st Street Improvement Project brought 91st Street between Wolf’s Crossing Road and Schoger Drive up to City standards, which will improve the motorist and pedestrian experience in the area. Work included constructing one lane on 91st Street in each direction with a striped median, installing curbs, removing the ditch on the south side of the roadway and installing sidewalk, installing storm sewer for improved drainage and installing street lighting.

July 8, 2019: Roadwork on 91st Street has been completed and the road has re-opened to two-way traffic. Crews will be finishing “punch list” items over the next few weeks, including parkway restoration and landscaping. Please note that due to a delay from the supplier, streetlight poles for the roadway will now be delivered and installed in August 2019.
June 28, 2019: Work continues on this project. The City's contractor has placed the first layer of pavement on the road and is grading the ditches and parkway at this time.
June 13, 2019: Work remains on track for this project. Curbs have been installed, and the sidewalk will be poured within the next week. Paving work will begin after sidewalk installation. Conduits for street lighting are also being installed.
May 1, 2019: Work on this project has begun. The contractor for this project is RW Dunteman.
- Project Benefits
This project has improved motorists’ experience along 91st Street by providing a safer and smoother driving experience all the way to Schoger Drive because of new pavement, pavement markings and traffic control devices. Pedestrians now have a better experience thanks to a new sidewalk along the south side of 91st Street. Improved drainage in the area due to storm sewer installation will also benefit surrounding businesses and residents.
Construction began May 1, 2019. Road work was completed by July 8, 2019, with crews finishing parkway restoration and landscaping in mid- to late-July. Due to a delay from the supplier, streetlight poles will now be installed in August 2019.
