95th Street and Book Road Intersection Improvements
The city will be conducting additional public engagement on this project in the late summer/early fall of 2019. Information regarding the date, time and location of another public meeting will be posted on this page when it becomes available.
The City has identified the need for improvements at the intersection of 95th Street and Book Road. These improvements will serve to improve traffic flow, thereby reducing congestion and delay. Anticipated improvements may include creating additional through lanes and turn lanes and making modifications to the existing traffic signal. Preliminary engineering is currently underway to assess the existing conditions and determine the optimal improvements.
Preliminary engineering occurred throughout 2018, design engineering is planned for 2019, and construction is planned for 2021. It is anticipated that the improvements will be completed within one construction season.

May 22, 2018 Public Meeting
An initial public meeting took place on May 22, 2018. The purpose of this meeting was to introduce the project to the public and gather feedback to make sure that the existing conditions are fully recognized. Sept. 20, 2018 Public Meeting
A second public meeting to discuss planning for potential improvements to the intersection was held on Thursday, September 20, 2018. The purpose of this meeting was to present to stakeholders conceptual alternatives for improvements along with their performance, review preliminary impacts and costs, and seek input from the public on the project. June 6, 2019 Public Hearing
A final public hearing was held on June 6, 2019 in conjunction with the City of Naperville Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) meeting. The purpose of the hearing was to present the preferred alternative, allow the public to give comments, and provide updates on the overall project progress and schedule.
