Records Section

The Records Section is responsible for the management and coordination of police records, which includes processing all reports, citations and warrants. Duties of the this section include:

  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests
  • Records Retention and Destruction
  • Processing of Cash Payments (Bond, Fines/Fees)
  • Administration of Parking System
  • Transfer and Verification of Data in Records Management System
  • Distribution of Department Mail
  • Transmittal of Information to County Court Systems
  • Records Expungements
  • Records Checks
  • Customer Service (In Person and Telephone)


The Records Section is open for walk-up business during the normal hours of operation for the front lobby of the Naperville Police Department:

  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
