Building Review Board
Serve on this Commission
Openings are now available to serve on the Building Review Board. If you are interested, please fill out the application form. The application, along with a copy of an individual’s resume, can be submitted by mail or in person to the Mayor’s Office, Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
The nine-member Board assembles on an as needed basis to receive, investigate and grant relief from the City's Building Code in hardship cases. Members may have their primary employment within the City. The Board is comprised of people with experience in engineering, architecture, plumbing, electric and construction. Of the four remaining members, two need no experience in the applicable fields. Members serve for three years or until a successor is appointed.
The Building Review Board meets the third Wednesday of each month as needed at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., unless otherwise noted.
