Openings are now available to serve on the Special Events Cultural Amenities Commission. If you are interested, please fill out the application form. The application, along with a copy of an individual’s resume, can be submitted by mail or in person to the Mayor’s Office, Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
The Special Events Cultural Amenities Commission (previously the Advisory Cultural Commission) was established in 2008 to assist, inform and advise the City Council on matters pertaining to the arts, culture, and special events in the city of Naperville.
Power and Duties
- Provide a recommendation to the city council regarding the annual allocation of SECA funds.
- Promote the identification and development of available resources related to arts, culture, and special events in Naperville.
- Encourage arts, culture, and special events in Naperville.
- Provide recommendations to the city council regarding the SECA fund policy, procedures, application, vision statement and goals within the framework of the SECA master plan. (Ord. 08-031, 2-6-2008)
