Paws on Patrol

Sniff out criminal activity while on your daily walks!

Paws on Patrol logoPaws on Patrol is a dog walker watch program that encourages you and your four-legged friend to help reduce crime in Naperville while out “on patrol” in your neighborhood.

This program empowers you and your canine to enhance safety in your neighborhood by training you to properly identify and report suspicious activity to police.

According to the Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA, there are more than 75 million dog owners across the United States. In the City of Naperville, there are easily hundreds of residents walking their dogs throughout the community at all times of day and night. This is hundreds of potential pairs of extra eyes and ears watching for suspicious activity and alerting law enforcement when something appears out of place.

When you call to report suspicious activity, you are doing a service to your community and making it a safer place to live and work.

Get involved!

To participate, stop by the Naperville Police Department at 1350 Aurora Ave. and request a Paws on Patrol starter kit, which includes:
