Downtown Streetscape Project: Phase One

The first phase of the Downtown Streetscape Project included improvements to sections of Webster, Jefferson, Main and Jackson streets, is in the final stages and, pending weather or material delivery delays, should be completed by the end of November. 

During phase one, improvements included new utility lines, updates to roadway and parking spaces, a completely new streetscape built to current City standards, as well as wider sidewalks and more pedestrian space, more trees and plantings, updated street furniture and light fixtures and additional outdoor amenity areas for businesses.

Public Input for Phase One

February 22, 2022 Open House

The City of Naperville’s Transportation, Engineering and Development Business (TED) Group and the Downtown Naperville Alliance (DNA) hosted a public open house on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Representatives from the City’s TED Group, the DNA and the City’s engineering design consultant Civiltech were on site during the open house to provide display final design renderings, share project details, and answer questions.

Public Input Session #1

TED staff, along with the project consultant Civiltech Engineering, Inc., hosted two public input sessions on Wednesday, September 4. 2019 to share preliminary designs for the Downtown Streetscape Project improvements and allow businesses and residents to provide feedback on their preferred design.
