Free Ride Program Ends August 29
The Free Ride program offered by the City of Naperville and Pace will end Friday, August 29, 2014. Pace riders are encouraged to continue utilizing the City's park-and-ride lots to the Route 59 Metra station. For information regarding Pace bus fares, please visit www.pacebus.com.
Parking at the park-and-ride lots is free, and Pace service to the Route 59 Metra station runs express without stops for Pace Routes 672, 673 and 675.
The three park-and-ride lots include:
- 95th Street: located at 91st Street and Wolfs Crossing Road (Pace Route 672)
- Community Christian Church: located on Emerson Lane near Ogden Avenue and Rickert Drive (Pace Route 673)
- Wheatland Salem Church: located at 95th Street and Book Road (Pace Route 675)
Those who suspended their Route 59 parking permits while using the Free Ride program this summer will be contacted by mail in late August with further instructions on how to reinstate their permits. Permits will be reinstated at no additional cost to the permit holder. Questions can be directed to Ashley Hagen at email@example.com or (630) 420-6068.
The Free Ride program began May 27, 2014, and was offered by the City of Naperville and Pace. The program was provided as an additional incentive to commuters looking for options to shorten their commute and help reduce some of the congestion associated with the Route 59 Expansion Project.
The City of Naperville provides parking at the Naperville Metra Station and Route 59 Metra Station (north side of the train tracks only; City of Aurora parking on the south side of the tracks).
Directions to the Naperville Metra Station, commonly referred to as the downtown Naperville station, and a map of the City's parking facilities are provided below.
The City of Naperville parking lot at the Route 59 Metra Station is located on the north side of the train tracks, accessible via the intersection of North Aurora Road and Fairway Drive. Directions to the City’s parking lot at the Route 59 Metra Station, and a map of the parking facilities are provided below.
The City of Aurora controls the parking lot on the south side of the train tracks. The train station building is also located on the south side of the train tracks (1090 Route 59, Naperville), accessible from the City of Naperville parking lot via a pedestrian tunnel under the train tracks.
