 Commuter Parking

Latest News (May 19, 2014)

With the Illinois Route 59 Expansion Project underway, the City of Naperville and Pace is offering a new Free Ride program this summer for those who use the Route 59 Metra station and are looking for options to shorten their commute and help reduce some of the congestion associated with the construction project.

As part of the program, Pace bus routes from three of the City's park-and-ride lots to the Route 59 Metra station will be free every weekday for Pace Routes 672, 673 and 675. Parking at the park-and-ride lots is free, and Pace service to the Route 59 Metra station runs express without stops.

The three park-and-ride lots include:

  • 95th Street: located at 91st Street and Wolfs Crossing Road (Pace Route 672)
  • Community Christian Church: located on Emerson Lane near Ogden Avenue and Rickert Drive (Pace Route 673)
  • Wheatland Salem Church: located at 95th Street and Book Road (Pace Route 675)

Those who choose to utilize the park-and-ride lots as part of the Free Ride promotion can have their Route 59 parking permit suspended. The permit may be reinstated at anytime at no additional cost to the permit holder. To suspend your Route 59 parking permit, please fill out the suspension form and email it to Ashley Hagen at hagena@naperville.il.us. Questions can be directed to the City's Commuter Call Center at (630) 305-5330.

The Free Ride program will run from Tuesday, May 27, 2014, until Friday, August 29, 2014, and is being offered by the City of Naperville and Pace.
