Naperville Police Arrest Suspect Allegedly Selling Cocaine

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — On Sept. 20, 2023, a month-long Naperville Police Department investigation concluded with the arrest of an Aurora resident allegedly selling narcotics in the Naperville area.

During the afternoon hours on Sept. 20, 2023, Naperville Police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue, Aurora. Several items of evidentiary value were recovered from the residence including a white powdery substance, which field-tested positive for the presence of cocaine, and packaging materials consistent with narcotics trafficking. Four firearms and United States currency were also recovered.

Alejandro Urzua, Jr., 25, of the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue, Aurora, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Unlawful Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 1 felony. A second subject, a juvenile, was also arrested and subsequently released without charges pending further investigation.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
