The Naperville Fire Department is seeking donations of used and “clunker” vehicles. Firefighters will use the donated vehicles to practice critical auto extrication skills and train on vehicle and machinery operations. Naperville is one the most populated cities in Illinois, with a median household income well above the national average. The City maintains an AAA bond rating and manages finances to support a low property tax rate. The Naperville Chamber of Commerce is also one of only 75 cities in America to obtain 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Steve Chirico presented his fourth State of the City address on March 18 at the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce's general membership luncheon. Using the popular game of Monopoly as a theme, Mayor Chirico took attendees on a trip around a Naperville-themed game board while highlighting the City's success stories of 2018 and looking ahead to what's to come in 2019.
