Naperville Police Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Naper Boulevard

On Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Naperville Police and Fire departments responded to a single-vehicle crash involving injuries near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and Bayhill Avenue.

The initial investigation indicates that the silver 2004 Nissan driven by a 62-year-old male from Naperville was northbound on Naper Boulevard approaching Bayhill Avenue when it left the roadway, striking a tree. Both the driver and the vehicle’s passenger, a 57-year-old male from Naperville, were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger later died from his injuries.

Due to the nature of the incident, crash investigators from the Naperville Police Traffic Unit are investigating. The identities of the driver and the deceased are being withheld pending the ongoing investigation.
