Naperville Police Investigate Inland Circle Shooting
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the approximate time of 1:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Inland Circle for the report of a person who had just been shot. Police arrived on scene and located a twenty-six-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Naperville Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim’s condition was unknown at the time of this release.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim and offender were known to each other. Police are following up on leads to help locate the offender who is believed to have fled the area. The shooting appears to have been a targeted incident and there is no apparent threat to the community.
