Structure Fire in the 600 Block of Ogden Avenue

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — At 8:14 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, the Naperville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at 634 E. Ogden Ave. The caller reported seeing flames in the window of the structure. Naperville ECC dispatched a general alarm assignment consisting of 12 pieces of fire apparatus and 27 personnel, including an incident commander and incident safety officer to the reported address. At 8:19 a.m., the first vehicle arrived on scene and found visible fire in the front window of the occupancy. Fire companies forced entry into the structure and extinguished the fire with a pump can extinguisher. 

At 8:23 a.m., the incident scene was deemed under control. Fire companies performed overhaul and ventilation of the structure, ensuring the fire was confined to the building of origin. Fire companies remained on the scene until 9:20 a.m. ensuring the occupancy was secured and the fire was out. The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department. The cause is still under investigation. There were no injuries to any civilians or firefighters while operating on scene.
