Public Meeting Scheduled for ULI Chicago Presentation on 5th Avenue Study Area

Sept. 10 meeting will include panel findings and recommendations for redevelopment

Representatives from Urban Land Institute Chicago (ULI Chicago) will present their recommendations for potential land uses for the 5th Avenue study area at a public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025.

The meeting, which will be facilitated by ULI Chicago, will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. Individuals planning to attend are asked to RSVP by emailing chicago@uli.org. The meeting will also be broadcast on WCNC (Ch. 6 - Astound, Ch. 10 - Comcast, Ch. 99 - AT&T U-verse) and streamed online at https://naperville.legistar.com.

ULI Chicago, with support from the City of Naperville, convened a diverse group of leading real estate and development professionals from across the region on June 10 and 11 to identify redevelopment opportunities for the numerous City-owned properties along 5th Avenue near the Naperville Metra Station. The Sept. 10 meeting will include a 30- to 40-minute presentation of their findings and recommendations followed by a question-and-answer session with those in attendance.

ULI Chicago will issue their final report to the City six to eight weeks after the public presentation. The Naperville City Council will not discuss or take any formal action on the recommendations at the Sept. 10 meeting.
