Naperville Police Investigate Alleged Home Invasion

(2 p.m. UPDATE: Mr. Rush has been located. Charges are pending.)

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the approximate time of 4:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Inland Circle for the report of a person who had broken into the victim’s apartment.  Police arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who alleged that Joseph C. Rush, an Aurora man born in 1990 who is known to the victim, entered the victim’s apartment through the unlocked third floor balcony sliding door, and battered the victim before fleeing the area.  The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.  

Rush is described as a black male with short black hair and a black goatee.  He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 160lbs.  He was last seen wearing a white hoodie, black puffy jacket, ripped light blue jeans and black gym shoes.

The Naperville Police are looking to question Rush regarding this incident.  If you see or have information regarding Rush’s whereabouts, please dial 9-1-1.
