Structure Fire in the 1100 Block of North Mill Street
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — At 11:52 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, the Naperville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a 911 call reporting a possible fire inside a structure on the 1100 block of North Mill Street. The ECC immediately dispatched a general alarm assignment consisting of three engines, two ladder trucks, two medic units, one heavy rescue and two battalion commanders.
Initial arriving companies completed a 360-degree survey of the structure, provided an on-scene report and established command. Responding units found no obvious fire conditions from the exterior of the structure. After entering the structure, units found that the fire had been extinguished prior to the arrival of fire suppression companies. Evacuation of occupants was not required. Fire suppression companies overhauled the fire area to ensure the hazard was contained.
The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department. Damage is estimated at $1,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The occupancy remains habitable, and there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
