Tent Permit

The applicant or owner of the premises in which the tent will be erected must agree to conform with and abide by all the rules, regulations and provisions of the City ordinances pertaining to the installation and maintenance of the tent. The applicant or owner of the premises is encouraged to attend a Tenant Buildout (TBO) Meeting 120 days prior to event day. The TBO meetings take place every Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the lower level of the Municipal Center. This is a first-come, first-served type of meeting where the applicant or owner will meet with different City department representatives depending on their individual needs. 

Non-refundable fees for this permit: $18 Comm. Clerical Fee and $68 per each inspection. Other fees may apply. Please allow a minimum of ninety (90) days for City department representatives to process your tent permit request.   • Building Permit Contact Sheet
  • Site Plan
  • Certificate of Liability Insurance - For City of Naperville Owned Property Only
  • All relevant information as shown on the Tent Permit Requirements within the application (if applicable, certificate of flame proofing and/or electrical contractor's certification)

Permit Application

After reading the above, you may apply for a Tent permit by visiting the Civic Access portal. The Civic Access portal gathers all of the information needed to apply, pay for, and manage permits in one convenient place. It is designed for use on a desktop/laptop computer.
