Records Section

Modified Hours

The Records Section has modified its hours of operation to 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. during the COVID-19 response. This section is available by telephone from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Minimal staffing levels may cause delays in service request times.

The Records Section is responsible for the management and coordination of police records, which includes processing all reports, citations and warrants. Duties of the this section include:

  • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests
  • Records Retention and Destruction
  • Processing of Cash Payments (Bond, Fines/Fees)
  • Administration of Parking System
  • Transfer and Verification of Data in Records Management System
  • Distribution of Department Mail
  • Transmittal of Information to County Court Systems
  • Records Expungements
  • Records Checks
  • Customer Service (In Person and Telephone)

The Records Section is open for walk-up business or by telephone at (630) 420-6157 during the following hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
