July 24, 2025 Storm Updates

City crews are responding to the impacts of severe weather that moved through the Naperville area on the afternoon of July 24, 2025. This page will include updates on the ongoing effects of these storms.

The information below is current as of 2 p.m. on July 25, 2025.

Electrical Outages

All known outages have been resolved at this time. Any customers who are still experiencing outages should contact the City at 630-420-6060.

Blocked Roadways & Tree Debris Removal

All previously blocked roadways are now open; however, debris remains in parkways, and City crews are working to clean it up. Our forestry crews will spend the next several weeks cleaning up damaged city parkway trees and hanging parkway tree branches throughout the city.

It is too early to determine whether we'll have a special collection or change to normal collection procedures. If it were to occur, the City will communicate those details through the website, social media, and Naper Notify.

The priority process for tree debris removal is noted below. We appreciate your patience as crews move throughout the City.

  • First Priority: The highest priority is to remove storm debris that presents immediate hazards first. Storm debris will be removed from streets, driveways, and sidewalks, in that order.
  • Second Priority: After all roads, driveways, and sidewalks have been cleared, all other debris that is not blocking roads or sidewalks or presenting an immediate hazard will be picked up.

To report a fallen parkway tree located on City property, please call 630-420-6060.
