Private Trees - Removal and Preservation

Residential

Per City ordinance, a tree removal permit is required if a tree measuring 4 inches or greater in diameter will be removed on a residential parcel that is larger than 1½ acres. The permit must be approved prior to the tree being removed. Residential parcels less than 1½ acres are not affected by this ordinance.

Non-Residential

All non-residential parcels, regardless of size, must apply for a tree removal permit before removing any tree 4 inches or greater in diameter.  The permit must be approved before any tree is removed.

Tree removal permits are available on the City's Civic Access Portal.
