Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops

The Naperville Police Department offers three Merit Badge Workshops to Boy Scouts each year at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave. Typically, the Fingerprinting Merit Badge Workshop is held in February, the Crime Prevention Merit Badge Workshop is held in February and the Traffic Safety Merit Badge Workshop is held in October.

Traffic Safety Merit Badge Workshops - October 6, 2021

The Naperville Police Department will be hosting identical Fingerprinting Merit Badge Workshops from 4 to 6:15 p.m. OR 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2020. All requirements for the badge will be completed at this time, and you only need to attend ONE workshop.

Crime Prevention Merit Badge Workshop - January 20 AND February 10, 2022

The Naperville Police Department will be hosting a two-day Crime Prevention Merit Badge Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20 AND Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022. Participants must attend BOTH sessions to earn the badge.

Fingerprinting Merit Badge Workshop - March 9, 2022

The Naperville Police Department will be hosting a Fingerprinting Merit Badge Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2021. All requirements for the badge will be completed at this time.

CSI - Cub Scouts Investigate

This program for third grade Bear Scouts is offered by the Naperville Police Department in conjunction with the Naperville Junior Women's Club at Safety Town, 1320 Aurora Ave. This program introduces forensic science and raises awareness of crime prevention and safety within the community. The curriculum for this program specifically meets the requirements found in the new Cub Scout programming.

The next scheduled class will be taking place on Feb. 21, 2022. Registration is conducted through the Safety Town website and will be posted as the date gets closer.

Detective Badge

Girl Scout WorkshopThis program for fourth grade Junior Girl Scouts is offered by the Naperville Police Department in conjunction with the Naperville Junior Women's Club at Safety Town, 1320 Aurora Ave. This program introduces forensic science and raises awareness of crime prevention and safety within the community. The curriculum for this workshop meets the requirements for the “Detective Badge.”
