Emergency Preparedness

The mission of the Naperville Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is to prepare for, protect against, respond to and recover from natural and manmade incidents and events up to and including major disasters. NEMA will provide support and education to the citizens, City government and the private sector within the City of Naperville.

This system allows you to sign up to receive emergency or community notifications on the device of your choosing. You can receive messages on a home phone, cell phone or through email. 

Smart911 allows citizens to provide details that 9-1-1 call takers may need in order to assist them during an emergency. With Smart911, anytime you make an emergency call from a phone registered with your Safety Profile, the 9-1-1 system recognizes your phone number and automatically displays your profile on the screen of the call taker who receives your call. Your Safety Profile can include family member information, photos, medical conditions or disabilities, and much more.
