DuPage Water Commission Waterlink Project
The DuPage Water Commission (DWC) is expanding its infrastructure to bring Lake Michigan drinking water to the communities of Montgomery, Oswego, and Yorkville. The WaterLink project will design and construct a 30-mile water main extension that begins in Naperville and continues west through multiple connection points. For questions, email info@waterlinkpipeline.com or call the project hotline at (630) 576-9997.
Phase one of construction will begin in December 2025. This phase will involve full closures along Book Road, from just north of 75th Street to 103rd Street. The entire area will not be closed at once; only one section of Book Road will be closed at a time. Crews will connect to the existing system and install a 54-inch water main beneath the roadway. Work along Book Road is expected to continue into the spring of 2027. Residents are encouraged to follow posted detour routes while construction is underway. Below is a map of the complete WaterLink Project. This is a DuPage Water Commission Project and only phases 1 and 2 will take place in Naperville.
