White Oak Drive Roadway and Utility Improvement Project
The City of Naperville has identified White Oak Drive, between Prairie Avenue and E. Porter Avenue, as a roadway that can benefit from coordinated infrastructure improvements. The proposed work includes the complete reconstruction of the roadway, along with the replacement of the existing sanitary sewers and water main. The project provides the opportunity to bring the roadway up to current standards while considering feedback from the residents. Construction is expected to begin in the Spring of 2027.
The City of Naperville has partnered with Thomas Engineering Group to evaluate alternatives for the new roadway, design the proposed improvements, and prepare construction plans. The first step in their design work is to take soil borings, pavement cores, and survey the project area. You will likely see Rubino Engineering perform soil borings and pavement cores followed by surveyors in marked Thomas Engineering vehicles.
A series of public meetings will occur during the project duration to gather feedback and opinions from the residents and to keep the neighborhood informed of the design decisions and construction schedule. The first meeting will be held in early 2026 at the Naperville Municipal Center (Lower Level). More information about this meeting will be provided as the date approaches.
